Panajachel’s patron saint, St. Francis of Assisi, is honored every October with many activities, a town fair, cultural dances, religous ceremonies, pyrotechnics and parades. October is a great time to experience Guatemalan culture and festivity in a way that is very accessible to the visitor, including the spectacular backdrop of Lake Atitlán. Panajachel’s town fair runs Oct. 1 through 7. The main day being Oct. 4. Panajachel has an abundance of accommodations, good restaurants as well as the beauty of Lake Atitlán. Panajachel is the best place to visit for the feria. If you want to take a break from the fair, there’s always somewhere else to go and something else to do including just kicking back and relaxing.

Thanks to everyone for making this years festival so memorable!
